- Like many others, I learned the piano on and off as a kid. In my late teens and early twenties I wrote songs and performed in bands as the lead pianist/keyboardist in my native New Zealand for a number of years. Using my musical experience as well as my professional and academic background in marketing, analysis and writing, I apply my knowledge and experience to my blog posts here at OnlinePianist. From fun facts and scientific studies, to motivational posts and original thought pieces, I scour the web for the most fascinating content pianists young and old will want while throwing in odd pop culture references. Since OnlinePianist is the home of the 21st century pianist why not hear it from the perspective of a millennial pianist, right? ;-)
