- Like many others, I learned the piano on and off as a kid. In my late teens and early twenties I wrote songs and performed in bands as the lead pianist/keyboardist in my native New Zealand for a number of years. Using my musical experience as well as my professional and academic background in marketing, analysis and writing, I apply my knowledge and experience to my blog posts here at OnlinePianist. From fun facts and scientific studies, to motivational posts and original thought pieces, I scour the web for the most fascinating content pianists young and old will want while throwing in odd pop culture references.
